1920s Gallery of Bedrooms

Our collection of bedrooms are taken from the colored illustrations published in period magazines aimed squarely at middle-class home owners. During the 1920s, most magazines published articles with accompanying images in black and white. However, though editorial content was largely colorless, many companies hired talented illustrators to create compelling color images to advertise their products. Armstrong, Congoleum, and Blabon placed their emphasis on the floors. The Wallpaper Guild emphasized the wallpaper and Simmons emphasized the beds.
