1910 Colonial Bedroom

From the Ladies Home Journal

Colonial style decorating has been very popular for decades because it reflects our heritage and traditions. It has also appealed to a great many of us because it is comfortable. A popular color scheme is blue, yellow, and white. This one from 1910 incorporated homespun weavings, mahogany or walnut furniture, sunny yellow walls, and white trim. The homespun weaving pattern, called "Sun, Moon, and Stars", is still very popular.

The colors used include (left to right):

Ivory (for woodwork)

Light blue

Dark brown in the furniture

Indigo blue

Sunshine yellow

White for linens
