Gallery 2: More 1920s Kitchens
The 1920s was a decade of tremendous design change and in no place was that more apparent than the kitchen. Notice the use of white enamel and white fixtures with pastels early in the decade and contrast that with the shift toward bright primaries and lots of color including fixtures and appliances as the decade ends. Most of the images shown focus on the product ... linoleum, paint, cabinetry, and appliances. All are beautifully illustrated and drum home the themes of tranquility, beauty, hominess, and efficiency.
