This image was on the cover of a 1935 "dream kitchens" pamphlet distributed by Armstrong Cork. This modern kitchen design reflects several of the design trends of the period, especially the late Deco Streamline. It's calculated to be modern, but with a comfortable appeal to middle-class homeowners who still tended to perceive the new modern design as somewhat faddish.
