Like several other houses in the Hewitt-Lea-Funck plans catalog, this is a bungalow originally published by Ladies Home Journal. "It was designed by a California architect, built in Pasadena, California, and chosen by the Ladies' Home Journal as one of the best houses of the sort." What is unusual, is that HLF republished the original plan with the permission of LHJ's architectural editor. What HLF guarantees is that one can live anywhere in this house, because they've improved it for any climate.
