Design No. 8-1107

1915 by Hewitt-Lea-Funck Company of Seattle, Washington

This plan was described by HLF as a "Handsome, Substantial, Durable, Square House." It's slightly larger than the typical Foursquare and has a number of nice features, especially an open floor plan with easy access throughout the main floor. Access to the second floor is facilitated by a connecting door from the kitchen to the stairway landing. A small, cozy den with a fireplace adjacent to the living room is another nice feature. Upstairs, four bedrooms and a bath complete the arrangement. The entire house including shipping was $779. Of course, it would run the builder another $1100, not including land, for foundations, chimney, electrical, and plumbing.
