The Daphne is described as an English style plan, but it has a lot in common with many of the Arts and Crafts style homes that were designed in previous decades. It is streamlined to accommodate the tastes of the late 1920s, but remains a middle- to upper-middle class home with three bedrooms and one bath. The combination of the brick facing and the steel casement sash windows were design details that were bound to please prospective home builders with an affinity for the Modern as well as the traditional.
