The Montrose is a tiny, 800 sq. ft. bungalow of quintessential simplicity, which cost in 1930 just under $2 a square foot to build. It's a two-bedroom house within a simple rectangular footprint. It encompasses the basics and the barest frills, yet still manages to convey winsome charm.
