Design No. 263

from Pacific's Book of Homes — Pacific Ready Built Homes

During the 1920s, small cottage style homes with tiny footprints could be packed with amenities like this small house. Casement windows add not only charm, but ample cross-ventilation that would have mitigated the warm California summers. The two bedrooms, though not large by our standards, were still big enough for a double bed or two twins. The kitchen with its built-ins, including the nook, was a model of efficiency.
