Though by no means a large house, having just three bedrooms, the Dorchester shows some of the innovations in floor plans and design during the 1920s. The illustration shows an English Cottage design with a clipped gable, tile roof, and brick facade enhanced by the tiny-paned, multi-light windows. The arched entry door and hint of half-timbering complete the picture. In terms of amenities, a sun porch opens off the living room and provides the foundation for a generous balcony for one of the upstairs bedrooms.
