The Watkins

1925 J. C. Simpson Lumber Co. Brochure,
Published by William A. RAdford Co.

The Watkins is typical of the Radford-designed Chicago bungalow style that is distinctive for its brick façade. This is a slightly older plan with the roof ridge finials. A wonderful living room porch provides a sunroom and extends the livingroom. Two bedrooms and a bath qualify this as a small house, but a full basement and attic storage provide for contingent storage and mechanicals. It has a large walk in pantry, sun porch, and kitchen porch making this a very practical home for Midwestern winters and humid summers.
