Dutch Colonial Revival homes were very popular among house builders and buyers from the late 1890s to about 1930 or so. Sears Modern Home No. 264B164 is a large version of this very popular style, though it might err a little too much on the barn side. The rooms are large, even by today's steroidal standards. The entry hall is 16'x10' and two upstairs bedrooms are more than 15'x16' square. The shared stairway, allowing access to the second floor for both the kitchen and hall, makes this a convenient plan from the standpoint of doing housework.
