A favorite subtype among the different Craftman-style bungalows was the Swiss Chalet. Some were very Swiss with exaggerated eaves and woodwork. Others, like Sears Modern Home No. 264B206, were much more modest, with the most pronounced expression being the pierced pattern in the vertical slats of the porch railing.
In the 1923 catalog, this plan appears as the Westly and was offered with two different plan options. One of Sears' more popular homes, it appears in catalogs from 1913 to 1929.
