The Hathaway
1923 Sears Roebuck Modern Homes
The Hathaway came in two models in the 1923 Sears catalog of Honor Bilt Modern Homes. This model (3082) was the smaller of the two houses with just two bedrooms and less than 1000 square feet of living space. It would have been ideally suited for a narrow city lot as the width of the house including the porch was about 24 feet. The style is an eclectic English Cottage with a forward clipped gable and stucco exterior.
