The Cornell

1936 Sears Roebuck Modern Homes

The popular American Foursquare began to fade during the 1930s, but Sears continued to include it in its kit house catalog until the late 1930s. It's economy and spaciousness made it a practical choice for many home buyers during the first third of the 20th century. The Cornell retains the open floor plan, three bedroom, one bath configuration so common from 1910 – 1925.
