The Lewiston

1936 Sears Roebuck Modern Homes

Offered for more than 10 years until Sears shuttered its kit home business, the Lewiston was a popular and handsome English style plan. It was designed for a fairly wide lot; the prominent chimney, half-rounded entry door with wrought iron hinges, and leaded windows provide ample character and curb appeal. Available in two plans of five (plus an unfinished attic) or seven rooms, it was designed to accommodate a growing family.
