With its steeply pitched roof, inset dormer, and forward-facing gable, the Willard is clearly an English Cottage style house. It had two stories in a tiny footprint of just 600 sq. ft. This little two-bedroom, one bath home must have offered considerable appeal and affordability. Its cost in 1936 was about $2100 or $2 a square foot.
