We like the Mystic for a number of reasons, but the bathroom isn't one of them. The simple understated cottage style of this little bungalow is a throwback to the previous decade when bungalows were mostly relegated to summer homes. Most had no bathroom — the outhouse would have sufficed and bathing most likely occurred regularly on Saturday night in a big zinc tub in the kitchen. As finances allowed, a bathroom might have been added as a shed addition off the kitchen.
This little 440 sq. ft. house is sweet and cozy ... and has the perfect porch for watching the sun set slowly over the lake.
