The Waldemar

1916 Sterling system Homes

The Waldemar is an interesting house, notable for features like its sunroom, not ordinarily seen in houses at this price in 1916.

In design, it might be considered a muddle or merely eclectic. It has bungalow characteristics like the exposed rafters and large front porch, but also shows Colonial Revival details.

It's facade is symmetrical with an entry that opens into a central hall. On one side are the living room, den, and sunroom. On the other are the dining room, pantry, and kitchen. Next to the service entrance at the rear of the house, there is also a second toilet. Upstairs are three bedrooms and an unusually large bathroom. The largest bedroom opens out to a deck on the roof of the sunroom.
