By 1924 when this plan was published, the bungalow style, especially with the Craftsman detail of the 'Teens, was beginning to show its age. Publications often referred to the Mission-style furniture as stodgy and the bungalow as old-fashioned. Updated versions with cleaner lines and more modern detail were seen. This plan probably sported Colonial white woodwork and flowered wallpaper to look fresh and modern in 1924.
