1908 Western Home Builder — V. W. Voorhees of Seattle

This Tudor style plan is a modest take on some of the grand country houses seen in the likes of House Beautiful and Country Life in America during the first decade of the 20th century. According to Voorhees, the exterior was "finished with cedar siding, shingles, and wood fiber plaster. Interior finished in Mission." We particularly like the Craftsman details such as the chevron-patterned half timbering and through-cornice dormer over the dining room. The open floor plan guarantees a 28' line of sight from the window seat in the living room to the far dining room wall.
