The Ravenna

Homes from Forest to You, 1924 by Stetson & Post Lumber, Seattle

The Ravenna plan is an unadorned single-story, transitional bungalow. The porch is relatively small, but the floor plan is open. The complexity, such as it is, is limited to the cross-gabled jerkin-head (aka clipped or snubbed gable) roof line with exposed rafter tails. It's a much simpler style reflecting an emerging aesthetic that crossed the 'artistic' Craftsman with modern interpretations of traditional details that became prevalent during the 1920s. Stetson & Post named many of their plans after Seattle neighborhoods ... like this one.
