Except for the asymmetry of the forward, steeply pitched gable, the Riverside is a very simple house. Called by Sears an "americanized English style," it is quite compact with little wasted space. Two of the three bedrooms open off the livingroom and dining room which is more typical of earlier plans designed from 1910–1925. This plan was offered in 1936 as a budget home for a medium-sized family.
